On 27th December 2024, the Naval Dockyard Limited hosted a significant ceremony marking the shipping of stripes for four newly promoted officers;
LTCDR GRACE ANDIFON SOMUYIWA,
LTCDR ALEX OKWUDIRI ANOSIKE KEMDIRIM,
CDR AHMAD WUSHISHI MUSA,
CDRE MAKANJUOLA YAQUB MAC OLOWU.
These officers were recognized for their unwavering dedication, hard work, and exemplary leadership by the Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla and were rewarded with promotions to the ranks of Lieutenant Commander, Commander, Captain, and Commodore respectively. The Officers were encouraged to uphold the qualities that earned them their promotions as they step into their new roles. ASNDL Rear Admiral AA Orederu (Admiral Superintendent Naval Dockyard Limited) and other high ranking officers were present, along with Spouses, families, friends and well-wishers of the promoted officers who gathered to celebrate the momentous occasion. The event was filled with joy, companionship, and a sense of fulfillment, as all in attendance enjoyed the festivities in a spirit of unity and celebration.
